When Little Golden Books go terribly, but hilariously wrong

I laughed probably more than is socially appropriate in a coffee-shop while reading about Movies R Fun, by Josh Cooley. The book is a new addition to the growing genre of satirical children’s books for adults/ Little Golden Books gone bad. In this case, the author even goes as far to mimic the beloved children’s series’ iconic design:

Finally! An answer to an age-old question that I never thought to ask, but am pleased to have answered: “What if your favorite adult movies became children’s books?” Thankfully for the world, Benjamin Starr at The Visual News is on it:

“Brad Cooley has re-imagined adult films like they’re the pages from a classic children’s book – from the alien busting out of the chest scene in Alien, to the wood chipper scene in Fargo.”

Now parents can read their little ones to sleep with colorful, beautifully illustrated snippets of such rated-R cinema classics as:

The Godfather

Alien

and Pulp Fiction
